· ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING INTHE LL.M. ENTRANCE TEST:
a) Any graduate in Law with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from Gauhati University or any other university or institution recognized by Gauhati University.
b) Relaxation of 5% of marks shall be given to SC, ST, OBC and MOBC candidates who are permanent residents of Assam.
· ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR APPEARING INTHE M.Ed. ENTRANCE TEST:
(A) Candidates seeking admission into M.Ed. programme shall have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent Grade in the following programme:
(i) Two-year B.Ed.
(ii) B.A. B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed.
(iii) B.El.Ed.
(iv) D.El Ed.with undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each)
(B) Relaxation of 5%of marks shall be given to SC, ST, OBC and MOBC candidates who are permanent residents of Assam.
· IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS SEEKING RESERVATIONS UNDER OTHER CATEGORIES:
o Applicants seeking admission under the followingcategories must submit the prescribed “Other Quota Form,” which can bedownloaded from this admission portal located in the Notification Section:
- Differently Abled
- Son/Daughter of permanent in-service Employees ofGauhati University
- Son/Daughter of Ex-Employees of Gauhati University
- Son/Daughter of Ex-Defence Personnel
- Fringe Village(Applicable only for residents of the village located inthe Fringe of Gauhati University i.e. Garigaon/Sadilapur/KatiaDalang/Sundarbari)
- NCC/NSS
- Extra-curricular & Co-curricularActivities
o Along with the dully-filled Other Quota Form,applicants must submit supporting documents and a printed copy of the commononline application form submitted to the portal. The above mentioned two forms(Application Form and Other Quota form) along with the self-attached supportingdocuments mustbe submitted either in person or by post to Room No. 14, Office of the Secretary,University Classes, Gauhati University, Gopinath Bardoloi Nagar, Guwahati,Assam,781014, on or before January 24, 2026 duringoffice hours on all working days only.
