Admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme, 2026
Eligibility (As per NCTE Norms)
Candidates must have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., M.A./M.Sc./M.Com. or an equivalent degree programme from a recognized University with:
- Minimum 50% marks for General and EWS Category candidates.
- Minimum 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.

Examination Centres
Candidates must select three preferred centres while submitting the application form. One centre shall be allotted based on availability and administrative feasibility.Test centers are mentioned below:
Guwahati, Nagaon, Nalbari, Barpeta, Jorhat, Dhubri, Rangia, Morigaon, Goalpara, Tezpur, Mangaldai, Pathsala, Biswanath Chariali, Lakhimpur, Dibrugarh, Bongaigaon and Kokrajhar
Important Notes
- Merit shall be prepared solely on the basis of marks obtained in GUBEDCET–2026.
- Reservation and relaxation shall be governed by the prevailing rules of Gauhati University.
- Eligibility will be verified by the respective College/Institution before admission.
- Appearance in the merit list does not automatically confer the right to admission.
- Application Fee: ₹2,000/-
- The decision of Gauhati University shall be final in all matters not covered by these guidelines.
