B.Tech Admissions 2025

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

• Candidates are requested to read the Information Brochure carefully before filling the online application form.
• ⁠In case of difficulties in applying online, candidates may contact at guist@gauhati.ac.in.
• Candidates will not be permitted to take admission without a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)/ Caste Certificate/Non-Creamy Layer Certificate for OBC/MOBC of Assam. (in case of NE Quota, PRC of the concerned state is required). Therefore, the candidates are requested to keep the PRC and above-mentioned documents ready well in advance.
• Candidates name, Father’s name, Mother’s name and date of birth should be same as mentioned in HSLC or equivalent certificate.
• Kindly check properly your pre-filled Registration data before finally submitting it. Keep prepared the scanned copies of all documents/certificates to be uploaded as required. The original documents/ certificates must be produced at the time of admission.
• Candidates who have both the CEE and JEE Scores are suggested to combinedly scan the CEE and JEE Scorecards and upload a single file only.
• Candidates submitting falsified information will be debarred from future counselling.

ELIGIBILITY:.

• The applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• Candidates must pass 10+2 examination in a single sitting without any grace marks in the mandatory relevant subjects at 10+2 level as mentioned in Table I and also must pass individually both in theory and practical.
• Candidates must secure a minimum of 45% (40% in case of candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the subjects taken together in the qualifying examination (10+2) as per the AICTE approval process handbook 2024-2027.
• The candidates must not be below 17 years as on 1st April, 2025 and there is no maximum age limit

1. For Biotechnology:

• Candidates should have Physics and Chemistry as mandatory courses at 10+2 level and any one subject from Biology/ Biotechnology/ Mathematics as other relevant courses.

2. For Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence:

• Candidates should have Physics and Mathematics as mandatory courses at 10+2 level and Any subject out of Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/ Entrepreneurship as other relevant courses.
