Online Applications are invited from eligible candidates through the SAMARTH Admission Portal for admission to the B.Tech Programme in Biotechnology (through ENTRANCE EXAMINATION) offered by the Department of Bioengineering & Technology, Gauhati University.

Eligibility Criteria
  • Applicant must be an Indian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam possessing a valid PRC.
  • Must have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination in a single sitting without grace marks.
  • Must have individually passed both theory and practical examinations in relevant subjects.
  • Minimum aggregate marks: 45% (General Category) and 40% (Reserved Categories).
  • Minimum age: 17 years on the date of examination.

Entrance Examination Pattern

The entrance examination syllabus shall be based on the Higher Secondary Curriculum prescribed by AHSEC.

  • Duration: 2 Hours
  • Mode: Offline Examination
  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Biotechnology

  1. Applications shall be submitted online only.
  2. Upload scanned photograph and signature in prescribed format.
  3. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS shall not be accepted.
  4. Keep all relevant documents and certificates ready before applying.
  5. A successful online payment is mandatory for application submission.
  6. Applicants must use their own active mobile number and email address.
  7. Email and mobile number must remain active throughout the admission process.
Application Fee
₹1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand only)
Payment must be made online through the admission portal.
